Bridging Assets Using A Decentralised Wallet

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to bridge assets to the Base network using deBridge.

By following this guide, you can seamlessly bridge assets like ETH or USDC to Base using deBridge's bridging solution.

Prerequisites

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to bridge assets (eg; ETH) from Ethereum to Base using deBridge.

1

Visit the deBridge DApp

2

Connect Your Wallet

  • Click “Connect Wallet” and select your EVM-compatible wallet (eg; MetaMask or Rabby).

  • Ensure your wallet is configured for both the source chain (eg; Ethereum) and the destination chain (Base).

3

Select Source Chain and Bridge Asset

  • In the “You pay” section, choose your source chain (eg; Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum).

  • Select the asset to bridge from the source chain (eg; ETH).

4

Select Destination Chain and Bridge Asset

  • In the “You receive” section, select Base as the destination chain.

  • Choose the desired asset to receive on Base (eg; ETH).

  • Once you have selected the assets (eg; ETH) from both sides, it should look something like this.

5

Enter Transfer Amount

  • Input the amount of the asset you wish to bridge.

  • Review the transaction details, including the bridge fee (0.001 ETH) and estimated gas fees.

6

Approve and Confirm Transaction

  • Click “Approve” to allow deBridge to access the selected asset in your source wallet. Make sure to click on the “This time only” option, which is the safer option.

  • Confirm the transaction in your wallet and pay the gas fees.

  • Sign any additional transactions prompted by deBridge.

7

Receive Assets on Base

  • Once confirmed, the transfer should complete in 10 to 20 seconds.

  • Check your wallet balance on the Base network to confirm the bridged tokens (eg; ETH).
